What is manipulation

Manipulation of the spine and peripheral joints is used for pain, dysfunction and lack of movement.  Manipulation is also known as a high velocity low amplitude technique (HVLA).  A rapid impulse is introduced at the joint to achieve joint cavitation.

This can produce a sound much like a ‘pop’.  This release, in turn improves movement at the joints.  The capsule surrounding the joint has been demonstrated to improve flow and balance, post manipulation.
